The project involves a complete rethink of the outdoor spaces at the foot of two blocks of flats built by the Honnegger brothers in the 1960s. These spaces, which bear witness to a bygone era and are a veritable hymn to the car, consist of large expanses of non-permeable tarmac that are conducive to the creation of heat islands.
The project therefore consists of redefining and requalifying the outdoor spaces, freeing the site from cars by sheltering them under canopies, reactivating the roof of the low-rise building (COOP) and creating a public park around a large pool of water activated by different functions for all the inhabitants of the district, from 7 to 77 years old.
